Spend More Time Outdoors at Nova Tallahassee

For FSU college students, quality time spent outdoors has never been more important. Between classes, extracurriculars, and exams, it’s easy to get caught up in the library, your classrooms, and even your own apartment.

Nova Tallahassee’s FSU off-campus housing is designed to make it possible for residents to get some much-needed fresh air, regardless of how busy the semester feels. We offer a variety of student-oriented outdoor spaces, so you can take whatever is already a part of your busy student routine outdoors.

Poolside at Nova

When Tallahassee heats up, our interior courtyard-style pool is the place to be. Meet your friends for a pool day, take a quick dip after class, or grab a lounge chair and enjoy a little time away from your schoolwork.

The pool area has more than just the water itself. Whether you are in the mood to watch the game, catch up with friends, or settle in for the afternoon, there is room to do it all without leaving the courtyard. Our poolside attractions include:

Jumbotron

Catch a game, put something on while you swim, or bring friends down for a poolside watch party.

Lounge Seating

Settle into one of the lounge chairs around the water when you would rather read, scroll, or stay close to the group without getting in.

Rooftop Lounge Deck

The rooftop lounge deck gives you a different way to spend time outside. It has room to eat, hang out, and stay for the evening, whether you are bringing a few roommates up for dinner or meeting friends before heading out in Tallahassee.

Here are a few of the rooftop features residents can enjoy:

Cornhole

Keep things casual with a quick game of cornhole.

Ping Pong Tables

There are two ping pong tables when the group is ready for a little competition.

Lounge Seating

Outdoor tables, chairs, and relaxed seating give everyone room to stay awhile.

Grills

Make dinner without taking the night back indoors.

TVs

Put on a game, a movie, or whatever everyone agrees on while you hang out.

Outdoor Putting Green

When you need a quick break from campus or your apartment, the outdoor putting green is right in the courtyard. Bring a friend down for a few rounds, practice your short game, or just spend a little time outside before getting back to your day.

Use the Spaces Your Way

Study

You do not always have to study in the library or at your desk. Take your laptop up to the rooftop, grab a coffee, and work through your reading or assignments in a space that feels more open than your apartment.

Exercise

Getting outside does not always have to mean fitting in a full workout. Swim a few laps around the pool or take a few swings on the putting green when you need to clear your head and move around.

Relax

Some days call for nothing more than a lounge chair, a pool, and a little time to yourself. The courtyard pool and rooftop seating give you room to slow down without feeling disconnected from everything happening around you.

Socialize

Nova’s outdoor spaces make everyday plans easy. Meet friends for a game of ping pong, cook dinner on the rooftop grills, stay for cornhole, or spend a long afternoon by the pool.
